Philosophy

This program provides students with the ability to analyze concepts and assumptions about people, society, knowledge, and values. These are skills necessary for those in the professions and for those interested in career development. Philosophy majors are the second or third best scoring group of those taking tests for admission into business graduate programs and law school. The program emphasizes major philosophical figures, philosophical heritage, traditional and contemporary problems, and critical thinking.
