Admissions Requirements

  • The GRE is required.

  • Students should have at least a minor in Geography in their undergraduate degree. See program website for options available to students without any Geography in their undergraduate program.

Thesis (30 credits)

Electives: (3 credit minimum): Students should select electives in consultation with the graduate advisor.

Research: (9 credit minimum): GEOG 610, GEOG 699

Starred Paper (33 credits)

Teaching Applicants should see the Department Chair. Students may be required to complete an undergraduate level software applications course in geography prior to enrolling in graduate-level courses.
